The Third Kyoto Course and Symposium on Bioinformatics for Next Generation Sequencing with Applications in Human Genetics<\/big><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training course:<\/big><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 3-day course will provide a practical introduction to analysis of next generation sequencing data, including handling of raw data as well as their application to the study of human diseases. This year, we have placed special emphasis on the analysis of complex traits using NGS data (e.g. whole genome\/exome, epigenome and target sequencing of the HLA loci) in addition to the technical challenges of analysis such as data manipulation and variant annotation.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course is aimed principally at advanced doctoral students or post-doctoral researchers who need to apply next-generation sequencing in medical studies. Applicants will be selected based on description of their background and future research interests, to be submitted when applying for the course. The number of attendees will be limited up to approximately 40. Those who intend to participate in the training course are requested to fill out the Course Application Form.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Academic: 30,000 yen<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Non-academic: 60,000 yen<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course will be followed by a 2-day symposium with invited international speakers to provide perspectives on recent advances in medical genomics. The symposium will be open to the course attendees and others from the scientific community. Admission to the symposium is free of charge, but, advance registration<\/span> is recommended.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
