However, given the interdisciplinary nature of the Center for Genomic Medicine, the graduate student should have a background in one of the following areas: life science\/medicine, bioinformatics\/information science, computer science, or mathematical\/statistical science, and should be able to draw on this background and have a passion for mastering the multiple disciplines that comprise genomic omics research. The ideal candidate will be passionate about learning various genomic and omics research disciplines.<\/h5>\n
The Center for Genomic Medicine is recruiting graduate students for the following programs
\n\u30fbDoctoral Program in Medical Sciences<\/em><\/strong>
\nFor students who have completed a 6-year undergraduate course (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine)<\/em><\/strong>
\nThose who have completed a 4-year undergraduate degree and a master\u2019s degree in a master\u2019s\/doctoral course.<\/em><\/strong>
\nThe completion period is four years<\/em><\/strong>
\n\u30fbD. Program in International Collaboration in Genomic Medicine at Kyoto University and McGill University<\/strong><\/em>

Although there is a system for working graduate students in the Department of Social and Health Medicine, please confirm with the faculty member of your choice whether you will be accepted at the Center for Genomic Medicine.

\nThe entrance examination consists of a written examination and an oral examination.
\nThe written examination will ask about life science and medicine for the Department of Medicine and Medical Sciences (for the 2022 entrance examination. Details of the entrance examination are subject to change, so be sure to check https:\/\/www.med.kyoto-u.ac.jp\/apply\/entrance_examination\/ for the latest information.
\nThe research at the Center for Genomic Medicine is interdisciplinary. It welcomes applications from applicants with backgrounds other than life sciences\/medicine, but please note that knowledge of energy sciences\/medicine is required for the written examination.
